Drenched in sunlight and brimming with promise, Community Table's new home on W. 60th Avenue in Arlington Meadows is steadily coming to life. After months of dedicated effort, President and CEO Sandy Martin is thrilled to share the latest milestones with Arvada Voices and the residents of Arlington Meadows. With walls coming down, energy-efficient upgrades taking shape, and fundraising efforts in full swing, the non-profit is building more than just a facility—it’s creating a hub of hope and nourishment for the community.

To craft a welcoming, fully functional food pantry that offers dignity, choice, and a thoughtful shopping experience for customers, the organization has begun the intricate process of retrofitting the building. Framing work is set to begin next week, marking a tangible step toward completion. On February 21st, Community Table COO Rocky Baldassare and City of Arvada Manager of City Facilities Kim Vaghar took to the roof to strategize the placement of eight new, quiet, energy-efficient air conditioning units, ensuring harmony with the building's existing solar panels. Meanwhile, Baldassare is finalizing plans for a security system, working closely with an installation and monitoring company to provide a safe and secure environment for all clients and neighbors.

Beyond construction, the spirit of generosity is fueling Community Table's transformation. Thanks to a remarkable $10,000 donation from Community of Giving Church, located near Wadsworth and 80th Ave., the new Community Room will soon be furnished and ready to welcome those in need. But the momentum doesn’t stop there—Martin and her team have submitted a grant request for $100,000 and anticipate additional funding from St. Andrews Lutheran Church, which has pledged support from the upcoming sale of their property. Looking ahead, the organization will embark on further capital campaigns in April, with planned presentations to Peace Lutheran Church and the Applewood Business Association.

As Community Table prepares to step into this new chapter, the support of local residents, businesses, and faith communities remains essential. Every contribution—whether time, talent, or financial support—helps ensure that no neighbor goes hungry.
