Significant Incidents
Felony Menacing suspect arrested (AR24018461)
On October 28, at 9:05pm, officers responded to a felony menacing in-progress on the corner of Olde Wadsworth Blvd and Ralston Rd. Reporting parties stated a suspect, later identified as George Manzanares (51), was threatening many people with a knife and trying to stab them. Upon arrival on-scene, officers immediately located Manzanares and placed him into custody without incident. Manzanares was booked into Jefferson County Jail on felony menacing charges.
Injured motorcycle rider flees single vehicle crash (AR240018483)
On October 29, at 12:18pm, officers were dispatched to reports of a hit and run crash involving a single motorcycle near W 84th Ave and Eaton St. Callers reported seeing the motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed as it hit a dip in the road and ejected the rider. The injured rider then fled on foot. There were no other people or vehicles involved in the crash. Multiple witness statements and resident surveillance footage helped officers establish a search area to look for the rider. The rider was ultimately not located and the motorcycle was impounded.Â
Suspect with 11 warrants arrested (AR24018481)
Members of the Community Response Impact Team (CRIT) were made aware of a wanted suspect, Gabriel Sisneros, who was residing at 5383 Carr St. Sisneros was wanted on 11 active warrants, for charges including aggravated vehicle theft, domestic violence assault, and domestic violence menacing. On October 29, CRIT established that Sisneros was inside of an apartment. Sisneros initially ignored loud verbal commands to exit the apartment, but eventually exited and was taken into custody. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail
Alcohol suspected in single vehicle rollover crash (AR24018609)
On October 31, at 4:03 pm, officers responded to a report of a rollover crash in the area of westbound I-70 and the Wadsworth off-ramp. When officers arrived on scene, they observed a vehicle had driven through the chain-link fence on the north side of I-70 and rolled down into the creek dividing I-70 and Sam's Club. Arvada Fire as well as officers went down into the creek to rescue the driver. The driver was unconscious and smelled of alcohol. He was transported to a hospital with serious injuries and a summons for driving under the influence.
LPR camera leads to three arrests (AR24018646)
On November 1, at 12:04 pm officers received a license plate recognition camera notification regarding a stolen Honda near 9400 Ralston Rd. An officer located the vehicle in the Walmart parking lot and observed the suspect, later identified as Seve Howard (35), exiting the vehicle. Howard abruptly returned to the Honda and officers lost sight as it exited the parking lot. At 1:29 pm, an officer found the Honda parked outside of 6027 Yarrow Ln. Officers observed Howard retrieve a backpack from the Honda and enter an apartment. Officers called out occupants of the apartment. Howard was taken into custody and two others were arrested for active warrants.Â
