Significant Incidents

Felony menacing suspect arrested in Olde Town (AR24018099)

On October 22, 2024 at 2:44pm, officers were dispatched to the library in Olde Town for reports of shots fired. Callers then advised that a large group of transients were involved in a disturbance using whips, chains, and sticks. Officers arrived and determined that there were no firearms involved. Their investigation resulted in one suspect being arrested for felony menacing. During the menacing incident, the victim struck the suspect with a stick resulting in a laceration. The suspect was transported to a hospital for further treatment.
